Eva Apelqvist Author/Translator Visit

Author and translator Eva Apelqvist grew up in Sweden but lived in Spooner for many years. She will discuss her translation of Swedish Sami author Moa Backe Åstot’s young adult novel “Fire From the Sky.”
“Fire From the Sky” is a young adult novel set in a reindeer herding community in northern Sweden. The author, Backe Åstot, is a reindeer herder and intimately familiar with the community she writes about.
