Summer Solstice Mending
Thursday, June 20, 4:30 p.m. for beginners; 5:30 start for those with experience

Let’s spend part of the longest day of the year mending together! We will cover the next steps in mending on denim with a focus on design. If you’ve taken a class with Denise or know how to mend, you will start at 5:30, and the class will explore Elements of Art and Principles of Design.
Are you a beginner? You will start at 4:30 and learn the basics.
Bring along denim or other clothing to mend; otherwise there will be materials available to practice techniques before you move on to your beloved garments.
Materials: Materials are not included in cost. A mending kit is available for purchase ($25-let us know if you would like the kit when you sign up); Or you can bring or buy your own materials. Sashiko Thread and needles are available at the store. Denim fabric & patches, Sashiko thread, Sashiko needle, Sewing Pins, Sewing needle & thread, wooden ruler, water soluble fabric pencil, and scissor snips.
