The temperatures might be starting to cool down, but the action in Spooner certainly is not. Fall is full of breathtaking foliage and family fun here in the Northwoods!
Experience the beauty of autumn while hiking Spooner area trails. Located just southwest of Spooner, the Beaver Brook Trail and Wildlife Area provides approximately six and a half miles of beautiful trails through nearly 2,000 acres and provides ample opportunities to view wildlife preparing for winter or migrating south.
For those who prefer a paved trail surface for hiking or biking, Spooner City Park is the place to be. Featuring a new trailhead entrance sponsored by the Spooner Rails on Trails Organization, this park boasts more than six miles of trails, a beautiful pavilion and picnic tables, playground equipment, a disc golf course and more.
Beaver Brook Trail and Spooner City Park welcome your four-legged friends, provided that they are leashed.
Other fall family favorites include the Burch Barn and the Spooner's annual Jack-O-Lantern Festival.
The Burch Barn is a magical place located off of County Highway K that features a plethora of fall fun. From warm apple cider to jumping in the corn pit and picking out a prized pumpkin to take home, the Burch Barn will help you make memories that last a lifetime and is sure to have you coming back year after year.
The Spooner Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Jack-O-Lantern Festival takes place on Saturday, October 8th of this year. Numerous area non-profit organizations will join together to create fantastic family fun for community members and visitors alike. Carnival games, festival treats, a pumpkin roll and fan favorite 5k Zombie Run are just a few of the many exciting activities offered at this year's festival.
