Cakes at the Lake: Moose Mania

Cakes at the Lake is an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast which features buttermilk and specialty pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, and beverages. Following the breakfast, guests are encouraged to stay for the free nature program sponsored by Long Lake Preservation Association. Moose Mania with Licia Johnson

Delve into the world of moose in Licia Johnson’s captivating presentation! From their impressive antlers to their adaptive behaviors, we will explore moose habitat preferences and their vital role in the ecosystem. You can also explore several artifacts during this fun and informative program. You can compare your hand to a moose track or find out how heavy a moose antler is!

Licia has been a professional naturalist for 20 years, the past 17 at the North Lakeland Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters, where she is the Education Director and Senior Naturalist. Born and raised in northern Wisconsin, Licia has great respect for wildlife and loves to educate others on their amazing lives!
