DESCRIPTION:Cakes at the Lake is an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast which features buttermilk and specialty pancakes\, sausage\, fresh fruit\, and beverages. Following the breakfast\, guests are encouraged to stay for the free nature program sponsored by Long Lake Preservation Association. To learn more about our Cakes at the Lake series or to see what other topics we have planned for our Cakes at the Lake programs\, click here. \nBreakfast: 8:00 am – 9:45 am; Program: 10:00 am – 11:00 am\nProgram Fee: $8/person; $5/child (ages 4-12 years old); Free for children ages 3 & under\nLocation: Hunt Hill Nature Center\nRegistration is not required. \nThis family-friendly program introduces you to hawks\, owls\, osprey\, and eagles that call this area home. Learn how to identify these incredible birds and discover their behaviors\, habitats\, and important roles in the environment. You’ll also gain a new appreciation for raptors as key indicators of a healthy ecosystem and reflect on their place in the world we share. Christian Cold is a retired wildlife technician and educator for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. His presentations typically include the display and interpretation of live\, native animals which he maintains for this purpose. Animals will be shown at the END of the program.
